A small animal that is used as a fashion accessory. This animal is treated less as a pet, than as merely another accessory to draw increased attention to its owner/wearer. These animals are usually carried around in a purse or bag, are often small dogs, whom are usually seen shaking and cowering in fear. The accessapet is not limited to dogs. Cats, birds, snakes, rodents, ferrets (yes I KNOW that a ferret is a rodent, but feel that it justifies its own classification here) have been known to be forced into this role as well.
