It is a tongue-in-cheek reference to the mental strain required to cause abstraction, and is mostly used somewhat hyperbolically within conversation. The term was first used around early November 2023 among a digital circus fan who was fiending for a cigarette, and the humor in it ended up cementing it within the fandomās lexicon, mostly due to its comedic and referential value between fans.
