Some say it represents specifically the screen of the phone and not just the Phone itself. Others speculate that the arrow is representative of all the seven deadly sins being in modern technology. Lust being our constant need for our phones in everyday tasks, Sloth being how media makes us take everything for granted, Gluttony being addicted to media to the point of spending all day on it, Greed being companies overpricing phones too much, Wrath being vengeful trolls on the internet, Pride being our extreme brand integrity and selfies, Envy being our want for others better hardware. Or the Emoji producers ran out of fucking ideas and thought that they could add a fucking arrow on its side and call it a day.
