Culpeper County, Virginia is one of America's top ten small towns, was named after Lord Thomas Culpeper, who inherited it from his father John. It was offically was established in 1700's. Culpeper, once called Farifax, and renamed by Lord Farifax the sixth, once consisted of 5,282,000 acres. This land was confiscated by colonists when the Revolutionary war began. Culpeper once consisted of Orange, Madison, Spotsylvania, and Rappahannock Counties. Wow that's huge! Ever wonder what's up with the minute men bit?
