However, most of said towns cannot afford the gasoline required to run an entire fleet of SUV police vehicles, so they are mostly used for special situations or as supplemental vehicles. Also, Lake Tahoe is a freshwater lake in the Sierra Nevada, on the border between California and Nevada, with approximately two-thirds of the shoreline in California. It is located near Reno, Nevada, and the SUV was named after it.
