Type 3 (infibulation) Removal of part or all of the external genitalia (clitoris, labia minora, and labia majora) and stitching and/or narrowing of the vaginal opening leaving a small hole for urine and menstrual flow. Type 4 (unclassified) Make any other harm to the genital (or the surrounding area) without a proper medical reason. NOTE THERE HAS TO BE A PROPER REASON TO MUTILATE (cut, make harm, alter) the GENITAL. Cutting of the genital because it reduces the risk of infections, helps to clean IS NOT a PROPER reason to MUTILATE the Genital. "Proper" means : if it makes harm or if there is a potential threat to the life or organ(s) ex: a cancer , not functioning properly (like if the organ dead) etc.. THEN that's a Proper Reason to Mutilate the Genital.
