Normally following with a slightly embarrassed, and guilty feeling. Often this feeling occurs when one is trying to be funny, but many times what is said is either very stupid, or very rude. In most circumstances the speaker wonders why they even said it in the first place. Sometimes, one can even get the instant take-back feeling for other people when they say something stupid.
