Ajkun Ballet Theatre Mug
The Ajkun Ballet Theatre (AKA AjkunBT) was founded in New York in 2000 by a board of directors to support the artistic vision and professional philosophy of Leonard and Dr. Chiara Ajkun. The 501 c3 not-for profit corporation’s mission statement reads as primary focus to open the avenue of opportunities in the world of dance to emerging artists and primary mission to share the experience of this art form – as interpreted in the work of Leonard and Dr. Chiara Ajkun – with diverse audiences through showcases, residencies and performing arts-education venues and programs. Today, AjkunBT is an umbrella organization governed by a board of directors, an artistic advisory board and a board of trustees, for five entities incorporated in five countries managing: AjkunBT fund (introduced in the year 2000) Trainee programs (introduced in the year 2001) Ajkun Ballet Theatre company (introduced in the year 2004) and a variety of performing, educational and international programs. The Artistic Directors Leonard and Dr Chiara Ajkun co- direct a company of international dancers that epitomize talent and artistic excellence from across the world.
