Nile is a brutal/technical death metal band from Greenville, South Carolina, USA assembled in 1993. Their music and lyrics are inspired by Ancient Egyptian mysticism, history, religion, art. Their usual songs are really brutal technical death metal songs, that are mixed with some doomy epic parts. The 'doomy epic' parts are played with oriental music instruments (egyptian mostly). All of their lyrics are about egypmotology, witch means Egyptian history. Band members themselves have said Ithyphallic Metal about the music, i must agree. Nile is not ur usual brutal death.. Nile's soul and heart is one man - Karl Sanders. He is ranked 4 in the Decibel Magazine ranking of the 20 best death metal guitar players of all time. Other 2 members are Dallas Toler-Wade (guitar/vocals) and George Kollias. Dallas has wicked sick vocals, and is a really awesome guitar player. George is an unbeliveble drummer. Really.
