My Chemical Romance formed shortly after lead singer Gerard Way witnessed 9/11; this affected him so deeply that he felt he needed to make a difference in the world. Soon after, Ray Toro (lead guitarist), Matt Pelissier (drummer), Frank Iero (rhythm guitarist), and younger brother Mikey Way (bassist) were recruited. During their second album (Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge), however, Matt Pelissier mysteriously left the band and was replaced by former The Used sound-man Bob Bryar. The color of the block highlighting the subject word was labeled "Flamingo Pink", but on the mug, it's actually closer to lilac and the woman I bought this mug for loves the color pink. I do like the apparent permanence of the design on the mug, I'm just disappointed with the inaccuracy of the color.
