A standard set on society which affects both men and women. This sets the standard that men should be the leader of the home over the wife and children. Another standard which is set for men is that they have to hide their emotions, or they’ll be looked down on in society. For the women, one of their standards is that they have to be the stay-at-home wife, the caretakers, the weaker sex. Another standard that women have to live up to are the beauty standards.
