Cyberpunked Mug
When a gamer has been duped into purchasing or preordering a videogame based on a series of misleading marketing practices, advertisements, and press events aimed to build hype for a product. Ultimately with the end result of the game developers overpromising and underselling on an unfinished or incomplete videogame or videogame related product. The term is derived from the slang punked which refers to a joke or trick played on someone, as well as a parody of the title for the 2020 videogame known as Cyberpunk 2077 which became notorious by its fanbase for pushing out an unfinished game onto the market.
