Chaya
In Germany, especially in the area around Frankfurt am Main, Chaya used to described mostly brown woman of colour. It was often used by men to insult young woman of middle eastern background who wouldn't fit into the expectation of a good Muslim girl because of the way they act and look. Chaya were often woman with long black or brown hair, big earrings, heavy make up who came from a working class background. Today chaya is often used as a self describing and empowering term by woman of colour in Germany. The black German musician Nura published a song named chaya. Because of its mysoginist, clasist and racist background the term shouldn't be claimed by anyone especially not by white woman from upper class.

Great idea to be able to offer this quality mug. I wish it would have come with the full text including examples listed on Urban Dictionary but I do love the mug. Just bought my 2nd one. Packaging is duarable and perfect for rough transit.

I wish the text on the back wasn’t so small—if I had to order it over again I would’ve inquired as to whether the words could be enlarged so it filled up more of the “white space” on the back

Got this mug for my daughter and she was taken a back. I explained to her why it was funny, but she didn't seem to understand. Its been a few days since my daughter has talked to me. I'm positive she loves it! I'm hoping to hear from her soon :)
