San Diego Stop
When a vehicle stops more than 2 car lengths behind the white line at a stop sign or stop light OR when a vehicle leaves more than 2 car lengths of space in front of it, and the vehicle in question is not a big rig or box truck. Most offenders are paying attention to their phones instead of the road. In an attempt to drive cautiously, these people leave *too much* space in front of them. If there is enough space for you to parallel park in front of the vehicle, then that vehicle has performed a San Diego Stop. This often morphs in to a California Roll if the offender comes upon a stop sign, or a San Diego Swerve if the offender is making a turn.
