The exercises that are proposed come in a format that adds to the feeling of casualty, lack of excitement, lack of importance and lack of commitment by the people involved. So with time, students start to associate these classes with hangout moments where talking about their own lifes while snacking and doodling is the focal point. This expression can be used in conversations referring to a class / event that will turn out very similar to a hangout :
