If one should be caught by a teacher mid-nyeow, it is advisable to cough and apologize How Does One Nyeow? Contrary to popular belief, the nyeow is an extremely complex sound which begins thusly: 1. The nyeower will shift their jaw far to the left. The lips will be taut, the mouth slightly open, and the left incisors bared 2. The nyeower then brings their jaw down and to the right, it is here where the sound is initiated. As the jaw is lowered and the mouth opened, the signature nyeow is emitted 3. The sound is continued as the jaw is moved all the way to the right, At this point, the end of the nyeow is "swallowed”, the "w" sound must be made with the jaw completely to the right and almost closed Note- The "casual nyeow" is often done without any jaw movement
