A lot of people think preps might think preps are classical rich people, well they aren't. Preps wear Aéropostale, American Eagle, Abercrombie, Hollister and stuff like that. Preps prefer trendy over classy. They know trendy is better than classy. They also have a lot of money. Preps can be boys or girls. But most boy preps would be classified as a jock. Another awesome group. Most preps play a sport and that's why the boys are jocks. Preps and Jocks are awesome so you people who hate them, probably wish you were us.

Jock:Hey,wanna go 2 the mall 2nite? We can go to Aero, AE, Abercrombie, and HCO. Prep:TOTALLY! Jock:I'm buying. Prep:No my parents are gonna give me a ton of money. Jock:So are mine! Both:Well lets go get the money and go!

Yet another stereotype in our world. If you would like an example of a prep simply watch a show like the OC or Laguna Beach and view those kids life. For a prep in middle school/highschool they try to make their lives much like that. Preps often shop at stores like aeropostale or hollister and are willing to pay 45 dollars for jeans that are pre torn just for that reason. Preps can be seen flirting with other male preps or jocks whilte both parties are chewing bubble gum and talking about things that go nowhere. In the classroom setting, preps will often shout out idiotic things just to get a reaction.

Prep 1: O-M-G did u SEE heather today! she totaly has the same shirt on as me!!! im so like embaressed! Prep 2: Oh i know how is that possible. i mean everyone in our rich white american highschool shops at aero! how could she have the same shirt as u! Prep1: LIKE I DONT KNOW!

Although some people may think so, a "prep" is not always a negative thing. A prep is simply someone who wears clothes that are in-style (Hollister, American Eagle,...etc). Preps usually: -say "like" a lot -wear expensive clothes -have a purse -are still in school (including college) -are friends with mainly other preps -are part of a clique -wear jewelry -straighten their hair -do their nails -gossip -shop -love shoes -wear make-up -wear purfume -end up getting a nose-job -wear bows in their hair this isn't always negative, though. Preps and emos tend to be opposites, but that doesn't always mean they hate each other.

prep1: omg can you believe Shannon broke up with Tyler?! prep2: no way! I saw them making out like yesterday! prep1: omg i know. prep2: omg i can ask him to the dance tomorrow! prep1: omg you're such a slut, lol prep2: omg i know, lol

ok, were i come 4rm (las vegas) preps do soo wear abercrombie & fitch, hollister,american eagle, aeropastale, etc. most of us r cheerleaders, & just cause we dont wear j. crew, or gucci, dont mean we r not frickin preps!!!! like u ppl r sayin being a prep is a way of life, & here in vegas that means wearing hollister & being a cheerleader!! so stop fricking dising every1 who wears abercrombie, & cheers!! we can call ourselves watever we wanna, & im a prep,... mabey not the type of prep like u guys all r, but im a prep,... a vegas prep!!
