A place for people who dont know jack shit about music (or any fucking thing for that matter) to shop. If you see a women walking around with a hot topic bag it usually means they have a low I.Q. and are easy. If you see a guy with a hot topic bag you should stop what you are doing and proceed to kick the living shit out of that guy.

Example 1 Person 1: "Nice DK shirt, where you score that shirt, at the record store?" Person 2: "Na bro, got this shit at hot topic, cha" Person 1: "fag" Example 2 Person 1: "check out that chick......shes got a hot topic bag" Person 2: "Slut"

Hot Topic is an online and real store. Anyone can shop there. Its not making a statment or being a rebel. I bought a few things from there because I like them. I'm not goth, I like what i like and don't know how to classify myself I usually listen to like emo, screamo, metal and rock. Hot topic was made by GAP! Don't categorize people who buy stuff there as goth and what not because I would not say i'm goth. It's got cool band t-shirts and not everything is that expensive, depending on when it came out.

a place visited by posers who like to make other people feel sorry for them by buying black clothing that costs just as much as it would be at abercrombie. just as mainstream as every other store in the mall, they carry scary shirts containing pictures of good movies, essentially turning them into "goth" or "stoner" movies. they also blare crappy music including korn, which is the only band i've heard of that has parental advisory on their CD not just becuase of swearing but because of "violent content". what, is it not good enough to swear at exes, now we have to chop them up? this store also includes scary posters of long dead stoner rock stars. and evil jewelry that should be banned at concerts.

person 1: "i just got this awesome goth shirt at hot topic" person 2: "omg u idiot... only posers shop there... you might as well shop at gap" person 1: "OMG!!!!!111ONEONE!1eleven11~~111!!!!!!. i'm gonna kill u with this new evil, bloody way that i heard about on my korn CD!!!" person 2: *flaunts gap bag*

a store that ugly tom boy, freaky, losers shop and try to be original. psh.. hot topic is for ugly people that cover themself up with black makeup and chains to cover up there uglyness. they are jelous of preps and wish they could be as wonderful as them and shop at abercrombie and fitch and hollister. the store is scary and i never ever ever want to go in there.
