Feminism has 3 waves. The first two waves pushed for rights and for women, like voting. THE DEFINITION of feminism is equality between men and women. Not complicated, right? Well, third wave feminism is pushing to eliminate the patriarchy by creating a matriarchy.

The belief that women should have equal rights and be treated the same as men in jobs for example, where men often have higher paychecks than women for the exact same job. In some jobs, a woman would be called something different than a man, and the title the man has often sounds more powerful. Example: Teacher, Professor Feminism is not about hating men, it’s primarily about women having the same rights as men, because men have more rights in the majority of the world. That’s why some feminists can get a little frustrated when people say “mens rights”, because men already have the rights that we want to have, that’s the entire point of the movement.
