What's on your mug?

It's a store where people shop, just like Hollister. The people who shop there like what is in there, just like people who shop at Hollister like what is in Hollister. Some people shop at both, because people like both. Some shop in one, because some only like one. Its a store. People just don't like it because its an "emo" store. Think about it. Its not that hard

Person 1: Lets go there! (Hot topic) Person 2: Ok! -they go in- Person 1: I like that band. Person 2: Me too! -they buy a shirt- -they continue shopping- Still not that hard, people

A store, first opened in 1988, that specializes in clothing and accessories often associated with the goth and emo subcultures. Also sells clothing featuring a wide variety of pop culture references, including Power Rangers, Voltron, Pokemon, numerous comic book series, and many, many, different bands. Frequently, the store will hold "listening parties" where a new CD or single by a certain band will be played in the store, allowing shoppers to hear it before its release.

"Dude, check out this MCR shirt I bought at Hot Topic!"
