Pronounced "pawned". A word to be used when describing a defeating occuance, when owned just doesn't cut it. More powerful than owned. Did not nesessarily start when an individual player misspelled it, but numerous players online kept overshooting the "O" on their keyboard and hit "P" instead.

"Dude, I totally got pwned by this haX0r last night playin C-Strike." "Man, I totally pwned this nub last night, he was tryin to be 1337 like me"

pwned:v,past-tense; After the rise of the term "owned" amungst multiplayer-gaming communitees the subsequent "pwned" was coined within prevelant multiplayer circles. The term is to bestow a level of dishonor upon its victim suggesting that the loser was owned in such a way that "it skipped the o and went straight to the p!!" However the existence of further slanders such as "qwned" and "rwned" are purely fictional.
