Apparently. It's usually used in this context by teens and pre-teens who think the world revolves around them, and it's usually a symptom of narcissism.

Traditional: stands for "Non Playable Character" commonly encountered in RPG style games where you can interact with them for limited conversation or information, or who may be able to carry out simple tasks, within the bounds of their programming. 2. Modern (2018): A term now used to describe a 'Social Justice Warrior' or SJW, as their behavior mirrors that of traditional in game NPCs, in that their thoughts and actions are limited to their programming (programming being mainstream media in this case) and lacking any critical and independent thought process.
