LARP (on it's online meaning) is someone who claims to be part of a certain ideology, but they don't really know anything about it. This term got it's meaning on forums like 4chan, Kiwi Farms, Reddit, etc... It is by definition, a way to call somebody a political poser. If you use this word on someone who is just being a normal poser, you are using it wrong.

Good use of larp: "Yo, Riley is larping Marxism, she didn't even read Das Kapital" Bad use of larp: "Guys I'm larping Azumanga Daioh"
