A store which we should have in England too because damnit I need spongebob socks... People say a lot of stuff about 'punks' and 'posers' but for fucks sake a store is a store and anyone who buys their entire wardrobe in one place is an idiot anyway.

A diverse store that has Metal T-Shirts, Nirvana memorabilia, gay pride stickers, clothes w/ sharp stuff sticking out of them, and weird little characters like Happy Bunny and Eve L. Also frequented by 12-ish year old females that like to express themselves by wearing net-sleeved shirts, black jelly bracelets, and put Happy Bunny patches on their backbacks. Pretty much everyone at my school wears something from there.

A ridiculous mainstream store with obscenely high prices. Kids who shop there often think that they're being "cool" and "original". Reality is, the store exploits anything that was left original of the underground culture. So it's simply another shitty store where your 12-year-old neighbor can get her Jack Skellington beanies and her Emily Strange t-shirts.

Popular clothing store. Contrary to popular belief, Hot Topic is just the same as Old Navy, Hollister, Abercrombie, and all other clothing stores, but instead with different styles of clothing. Shopping at store makes you no more unique or different than shopping at forementioned stores. Spending sixty dollars on a pair of pants there, is no different than spending that at any other store. In summary, is a clothing store just like Hollister or any other store. So quite thinking your so fucking punk/goth/etc. for shopping there, while you throw sour looks at the kids that just walked out of Abercrombie. Nor is anyone a poseur because they shop there.

Me:Hey look, it's Hot Topic, a clothing store! Idiot:Oh my God, let's go shop at Hot Topic, while we throw sour looks at the kids coming out of Hollister, because we are just so damn rebellious and they aren't!
