Rot rŏt - A state of being in which a person goes into antisocial hibernation. Not seen nor heard from for as little as minutes, for as long as days, the individual secludes themselves in total isolation. When resurfaced from their chosen crypt, the rotted individual will spring forth from their rest; once again able to spare the good people a flying fuck. Note: This state is not personal nor reserved for specific groups of people at a time; family members may text friends in pinned photos on Instagram to track down this socially, existentially exhausted soul. To decay. However, in slangish terms: to be beaten down, reduced or diminished by an event or place that has made a negative effect on your life. This may have affected your finances, health, social life or any number of other factors important to you.

I can't stand working here, it sucks so bad. I've been going downhill ever since I've been here. This job is making me rot. I've rotted away in university. My school years of constant studying and no life, year after year, have ruined my life.

A "clan" in the game of RuneScape led by a horse. Those members in this clan cannot exceed double digit IQ and must wear red capes, red helmets and red water wings to be easily identified. They take part in many areas of this game, including farming, herding, trolling and the deep wild derby. Prey consists of Kill Orgy, and predators consist of Violent Resolution, Echo of Silence and those involved with animal cruelty.

The feeling of uselessness and wasting of a day, either after a heavy night out on the town or due to overload of work etc. Rot can also be used to describe the state of the body or surroundings aswell as the mindset. Areas of the body that can rot are the face, the groin area, and areas prone to sun burn. A room can be deemed a rotten area if it smells or is untidy, it is sometimes known as a rot pit. A rot pit can also be the place where a rotter is in the process of rotting. More than one rotter in a room at any given moment is deemed to have started a rot-fest, which may attract others to the area to join in the rotting process.
