Bunnyhopper's Syndrome Mug
Noun: An affliction of the left hand's thumb muscles caused by overusing the spacebar in movement-heavy games such as Quake, Team Fortress 2, or any other keyboard and mouse game that involves a lot of jumping. Common to those who have spent decades gaming on PCs. Symptoms include but not limited to a painful straining sensation in the webbing when opening the hand, a mild to moderate twitch in the thumb when resting the hand freely or when reaching for something, and painful thumb movements at the digit's full extension. This cute mug reminded me of a quote from an obscure biography I found quite by accident in a tiny hole-in-the-wall 2nd hand shop in Portland, ME in 1987: 'The Life and Times of Lazarus of Bethany'. Quote: " We are all walking wounded held together by the scars of our forbearance and the charity of our sisters and brothers." Truer words have never been said.
