"Salad tossing" is the act of licking someone's asshole, often preceded by kissing and licking their [ass cheeks] and ass crack, and often accompanied by kissing and fingering their asshole. A true salad tossing [enthusiast] will also insert the tip of his or her tongue into the asshole of his or her partner. Salad tossing is often considered a sign of respect, affection, and even love, because, as should be obvious, you don't stick your tongue up just anybody's ass.

Salad tossing is often performed as a part of traditional oral sex, before, during, or after it. The "tossee" may lie on his or her stomach, allowing easy access to the entire ass. Another option is for the tossee to place his or her legs over the tosser's shoulders thus allowing access to the asshole. This position is [particularly] useful if the tosser is on his or her knees.
