A poor, uneducated, stupid, uncultured white individual from the southeastern parts of the [United States] such as places like Tennessee, Louisiana, Georgia, or Mississippi. These people tend to be highly [conservative], [mentally unstable], right wing Republicans. They tend to also sound very pretentious when they attempt to sound smart and many are also racist and homophobic (whether showing their racism outright or hiding their racism in public) and quite a few are members of the Ku Klux Klan since a group of rednecks formed that group in Tennessee in [1865] (the Ku Klux Klan is also still in operation to this day due to redneck interference). Don't confuse redneck with hillbilly, they are almost the same thing except their living areas are different. A hillbilly lives in the country and away from the cities and perhaps even civilization itself, a redneck inhabits a trailer park, however, they do have some things in common such as collecting dead roadkill to eat. However, both of these dumb groups of people have been infesting more urban areas, moving to other states and cities, etc.
