A term used out of ignorance to refer to people that feel strongly about [animal cruelty] and want non-human animal to be treated with respect. Some people fail to [understand] that non-human animals can suffer both physically and emotionally just like humans can and so think it's ridiculous that anyone would care about the suffering of an animal.
