Where [white people] of the Abq metro area go to escape the gang violence and property crime in the city proper. The city spends big on various projects, and the infrastructure is good if a bit crowded. The sprawl seems to be equally divided between cheap development houses and shopping centers. You will find lots and lots of strip malls and shopping centers, which seems to be the only available avenue for [entertainment]. The police are [extremely bored] and overzealous; you will never receive a warning for any traffic offense and they will literally bust a nut over a low BAC DWI arrest (which will probably be the talk of the station for months). Contrast this with the police of abq not giving a fuck about bad driving as long as you're not killing people, and you'll see why everyone get's frustrated. There are also an extreme amount of bullshit unapportioned-tax traffic cameras compared to what there should be for the population, to fund the aforementioned [white people] city pet projects.

If you want to party, look elsewhere because most bars will cut you off after 3 drinks regardless if you have a driver or not. You'll find plenty of fakesters and busters all over, but I have never seen anyone in Rio Rancho who remotely resembles a real gangster.

For the most part, this city is a shithole due to the government being oppressive, massive overcrowding, a mix of yuppies and [white trash], and virtually no jobs apart from the Intel plant and retail stores.
