Missouri State [University] is the second-largest university in the state, with nearly 22,000 students. Its beautiful campus was founded in [Springfield, Missouri] in 1905.

The Missouri State University System also includes campuses in West Plains, MO, Mountain Grove, MO, and Dalian, China.

MSU volleyball earned their 1,000th win in 2006, only the 2nd in NCAA history to reach that milestone.

Alumni include actor John Goodman, basketball superstar Jackie Stiles (the NCAA D-I leading women's scorer), baseball giant Ryan Howard, Senator Roy Blunt, Governor Bob Holden, and Walmart CEO/KC Royals owner David Glass.
