Used in the Aggie War Hymn sung by students and former students of Texas A&M [University] in [College Station], Texas. It is used to describe how the school is going to beat all of its opponents. No one really knows the origin or meaning of the word. JV "Pinky" Wilson, Class of 1920, wrote the song while stationed in France. It is thought that this phrase and others such as "[Hullabaloo] Caneck Caneck" come from older yells used by the school during its early years. The second verse was written first. Wilson wrote the first verse in 1938 to add a verse that A&M could use for all opponents, but the students refused to sing it.
