A buppie is a "black urban professional". They probably attended a HBCU. Howard, Morehouse, Spelman, or Morgan State can be some of the schools they graduated from. They probably crossed over to a sorority or fraternity like [Alpha Phi Alpha] and Alpha Kappa Alpha. They the have a degree in business, law, finance, or accounting and their goal in life is to be featured in Black Enterprise.

You'll find a large number of Buppies in Chicago, D.C., Harlem, and Atlanta. They more than likely do business in the [entertainment industry]. They usually hang out in groups and let it be known that they're well endowed by wearing unknown yet expensive designer clothes and yelling on their smart phones in VERY public places. They also seek out any [opportunity] they can to brag about their MBA, greek life, and "beating the odds". They also take pleasure in berating any black person with questions about what college they went to, who did the pledge to, and their past economic standings.

The buppie social life is very crucial to them but describe their constant partying as "networking".

The buppie lifestyle usually recycles over generations.
