College preparatory school located in Charlotte, NC. Long considered a safety school for those not admitted or removed from Virginia boarding schools whose parents live in the Charlotte, NC area. Charlotte Country Day offers strong academic and very strong athletic programs. High achieving students who take advantage of the incredible teachers and facilities typically go to UNC-Chapel Hill, Washington and Lee, and Middlebury. Students have gone to Ivy Leagues and other top-tier colleges. Charlotte Country Day also has multiple state championships and regularly sends students to play in college. CCDS is also part of the "Big Three" Charlotte Prep Schools which include Charlotte Country Day, Charlotte Latin, and Providence Day School
