An invented syndrome popular on online [journaling] sites (LiveJournal, Dreamwidth, et al) where the "sufferer" claims to have [multiple personalities] present in one single body. Unlike clinical MPD/DID, these personalities are most often take from pop culture: rock stars, anime characters, and movie heroes. Less frequently seen are non-human "personalities" like vampires, dragons, and elves. Those suffering from RPD will call it "pluralism" or refer to themselves as a "multiple system" - while staunchly insisting they are perfectly sane and [rejecting] all claims that their condition was invented solely due to desperate need to escape the monotony of their useless lives.
