A derogatory phrase used to describe a cheese that has little or no texture or flavour when that particular verity of cheese is supposed to have a certain texture and/or flavour, however mild. Indicated that the person thinks the cheese is only fit for use in a mouse trap. Derives from the fact that a person would not use a very good (and hence expensive) cheese to bait a mouse trap. They would use the cheapest cheese they could find as They would not care that it had no taste because they did not actually intend to eat it.
