An 80's [thrash metal] band that sold out. The only current talented member being James Hetfield for his superb writing and awesome picking hand, they were only good on the first 3 albums. After that they forgot how to play and got cocky in interviews and live. This band sunk to the lowest depths from around 1993 to now. I would say Death Magnetic is good like all the other reviewers, but it's completely [repetitive] and the digital quality is terrible. Plus, James' lyrics have no meaning anymore. I mean, when they started they had no money and actual life issues, but now it's kinda stupid to be singing about suicide and how life sucks when you're [on top of the world]. Anyway, yay Metallica, yahoo........
