Although no one knows how to pronounce the name of the franchise- not even the anime- Pokemon is probably the biggest thing ever to have come out of Japan. Pokemon over-saturated the media in the late 90's-early 2000's, and soon people got sick of it, but it's still very successful. However, it has [unfortunately] crossed over into nerd territory. The games themselves are all [surprisingly] fun. It's an [intelligent], strategic game, like chess. The plush toys and lunchboxes, however, I could do without.
