Joey: New England ski bum slang for a New Yorker/New Jersey/[Connecticut] tourist. Usually identified by: Rental boots and skis with jeans tucked in and an unzipped jacket OR the most expensive off-the-rack ski-boot-binding setup available, usually beautiful GS or Pow ski being wildly under-appreciated in a power-wedge. Also involves loud voices, obnoxious accents, and they are usually all named Joey. Girls come compete with fur accessories and way too much make-up. Trademark: the Joey Tuck--legs splayed in a wedge, ass in the air, poles sticking [straight up], way [out of control]. Basically New England's own special kind of gaper who think they're hot shit.
