Denver [International Airport], often called DIA, is, by land size, the largest [international airport] in the United States, and the third largest [international airport] in the world, after only King Fahd International Airport, and Montreal-Mirabel International Airport. Currently, Denver International Airport is the sixth busiest airport in the United States in terms of traffic. The airport is located in far northeastern Denver, Colorado. Operated by the City and County of Denver, in 2005 it served 43,387,513 passengers, ranking eleventh worldwide (in the past it has ranked among the top ten busiest airports in the world). Denver is also the busiest (and largest) airport in the US without any non-stop service to and from Asia, except for direct flights to Tokyo-Narita via Seattle/Tacoma. DIA was voted the 2005 Best Airport in North America by readers of Business Traveler Magazine. DIA has a very good reputation for being safe and fast. DIA also received the fewest amount of TSA-screener related complaints as of 2009 with only 5 complaints within a 45 month period. It is also known for its innovative and very distinguishable roof made of white tension fabric meant to resemble the Rocky Mountains. But unless you live in Denver, you'll probably have no clue what the hell those things are.
