A cool hunter is one who in constantly in search of what their [reference group] deems to be the 'hippest' 'coolest' 'most it' 'most RELEVENT' in terms of fashion, music, art, culture, etc.

However, a 'cool hunter' is not be mistaken with someone who is simply ambitious and culturally conscious.

No, a 'cool hunter' puts this incessant search for what is 'cool' above all else, including their interpersonal [relationships]. Loved ones become quickly disposable when no longer 'cool', as do opinions, beliefs and hobbies.

More importantly, 'cool hunters' are often equated with [social climbing] "cock suckers." It is generally expected that they don't care about anybody but themselves, their own self-gratification and pursuit of upward social mobility. Name dropping becomes a habitual action. Personal branding like breathing.

They have also been known to partake in barbaric partying rituals; including being noticeably intoxicated in social settings (dripping all over the room), stumbling into people, bumping into things.
