The PlayStation 3 is one of the new 7th generation game consoles which mainly competes with the Xbox 360 and the [Nintendo Wii]. The PlayStation 3, PS3 for short, was released on November 11, 2006 in Japan, and November 17, 2006 in the [United States]. It comes in two versions, the 20 gigabyte, and the 60 gigabyte. Both have hard drives, but the 20 gigabyte version does not have a chrome trim, built in Wi-Fi, or flash card readers, which the 60 gigabyte has. It has backwards compatibility with PlayStation and PlayStation 2. The 20 gigabyte version is $500 as of the release date, and the 60 gigabyte is $600. Both are high definition. There will be three available colors for the PlayStation 3: black, silver, and white, but as of the release date, the only available color is black. The white and silver are TBA. The PlayStation 3 comes with a wireless bluetooth controller; both versions have that. The PlayStation 3 is a great system, even though it is way expensive. The best value for the game system is the [Nintendo Wii], in my [opinion]
