A term first used to describe the engine of the 2004 Volkswagen R32. The term is used to allow others to understand the large amount of torque available at any engine speed. The term, "meaty glove", is derived from a more common term: "glove of meat", which is used to describe the object thrown into the air in celebration after Thomas Edison successfully created the first nickel-iron-alkaline storage battery.
