Ganglighting combines the techniques of gaslighting (denying events, twisting facts, insisting the target is “crazy”) with the power of numbers. When dozens of people insist that the target is misremembering, [overreacting], or imagining abuse, the target begins to doubt their own sanity—even when they have evidence. Ganglighting is common in organized harassment campaigns, where participants reinforce each other’s versions of events, creating a consensus reality that excludes the target’s experience.
