A [philosophical] framework holding that philosophical claims and methods are inherently context-dependent—that what counts as a good argument, a valid insight, or a meaningful question varies across philosophical contexts, and that this variation is not a problem to be overcome but a feature to be understood. Philosophical multicontextualism goes beyond acknowledging different philosophical traditions to insist that contexts of inquiry (metaphysical, ethical, political, epistemological) legitimately shape what philosophy can and should do.
