An intentionally aggressive slang insult meaning a [significantly] meaner version of “diddy blud.” Used to describe someone who is being obnoxious, cringe, [irritating], or embarrassingly out of pocket—often with [exaggerated] confidence or zero self-awareness. While commonly used playfully among friends, the word carries enough bite that it can quickly turn [disrespectful] depending on tone and context.

A phonkhole is typically someone who talks too much, inserts themselves unnecessarily, copies trends unironically, or adopts slang and behaviors they previously mocked. The insult is especially effective when paired with “boy,” as in phonkhole boy, to amplify the dismissive and humiliating tone. It can also stand alone as a sharp shutdown: “shut up, phonkhole.”

The term was deliberately invented as part of a social experiment to bait a friend who openly disliked slang but predictably adopted new slang shortly after exposure. The word was designed to sound ridiculous, harsh, and unserious, making its rapid adoption even funnier. The targeted individual began using the term in less than 24 hours, unintentionally validating both the experiment and the word itself.
