Similar to a twinkhon, a term originating from /lgbt/ (/tttt/) referring to a trans woman who fails to pass as a woman and still look like an effeminate man ([twink]) but with noticeable breast development.

The terms twinkhon and boobtwink are neither mutually exclusive nor concomitant (a boobtwink is always a twinkhon but not all twinkhons are boobtwinks); the distinction is a boobtwink is always someone with noticeable breasts, while a twinkhon'[s] breasts [may] be anywhere from completely flat-chested to so large as to induce [chronic] back [pain].

A boobtwink is not necessarily a boymoder or manmoder, though many opt to boymode or manmode. Some consider being a boobtwink preferable to a twinkhon due to having less dysphoria surrounding their breasts, while others consider it a curse due to having to wear binders to continue to pass as cis men in a transphobic world. Boobtwinks are not usually hons, either, though some hons [may] identify with the term. Likewise, some boobtwinks are [delusional] passoid boymoders who think they are irreversibly masculine, even as they continue to be booted from men's restrooms.

It can also be used as an insult, to imply that a woman (cis or trans) is not actually a woman but a [twink] with [boobs].
