Used in videogame slang: when a stubborn player refuses to change a role, class or hero that they're underperforming with, to play something that would be more viable for the team.

Also can be used to refer to throwing, but that's normification and it's illegal.

The player in question will oftentimes be a one trick pony, and be unwilling to change into LITERALLY FUCKALL ANYTHING ELSE just because they love their Lil character. Even when 40 grand is at play.

You can think of it as the soccer's goalkeeper suddenly larping as a forward in the middle of the match, "just to prove my potential to everyone". Their team gets slimed.

Based on a "Marvel Rivals" videogame controversy where a top notch "25-5 ahh" player was dragged down by a group of sandbags, particularly zazzaStacks who was playing an F tier hero (Black widow) in a $40k tournament, and just refused to play anything else. The top notch player (kingsman) was leading the match, and he got kicked because he dared to insist on a game strategy to win the tournament. Also, the team that kicked him got pegged, winning 0 and losing 9.
