Pronounced “Google-Debunkers” 1. Adjective. Crazy, insane, bizarre. Often used when satirizing alternate history [conspiracy theorists]. 2. Noun. (Archaic) Someone who performs brief amounts of research on a topic, typically over the internet, and produces said research as a concrete denouncement of a theory or fact. Rarely used outside of alternate history circles, often describing those who go against their theories. Origin: A portmanteau of the phrase “Google Debunkers” (used interchangeably with the contracted word), often used to satirize alternate history [conspiracy theorists] overuse of the phrase Google Debunkers. The original phrase gained the most traction due to its use by conspiracist Philip Zieba, who often used it to discredit those who disputed his claims. When the [Internet personality] and historian Milo Rossi (Also known as Miniminuteman) debunked many of Philip’s claims, he made several jokes about how saying the words in short succession sounded like a cartoonish description of something insane. This was then later adopted by his community, and later turned into merchandise.
