A colloquial alternate spelling of hoe first coined [in the black]/creole community and later trademarked by @theheauxmentor as she was building her coaching brand into the now makeup line she now owns and operates in LA. The spelling usage on her part came about because one of her earliest brand mission pushes was to help her mentees feel empowered in their escort businesses. In this instance by essentially rebranding a common insult into something that implies value to those who use the 'fancy' spelling; as well as sets it's users apart as elite [professionals] in the industry of SW.

The SWer community response to the trademark was mixed as many providers of color felt she was a white woman blatantly monopolizing on black culture for personal gain. She remains unbothered by these complaints and continues to laugh [all the way to the bank] about it.

While the term has become a trending and popularized version that has indeed found its way into vanilla culture, as of Mayye 2024, the majority of its users are, were, or know someone that is a professional provider.
